The Human Rights Campaign and Out & Equal Workplace Advocates, in association with employers throughout the San Francisco Bay Area,are proud to sponsor the 2008 LGBT Workplace Panel Series.

 

The goal of the 2008 LGBT Workplace Panel Series is to facilitate discussion on the unique issues LGBT workers face in the workplace and highlight best practices organizations can implement to seek out, retain, and support qualified LGBT professionals.

 

 

The Workplace Panel Series brings together corporate and community leaders, legal experts,LGBT advocates and allies,and other experts to discuss and debate the issues faced by businesses, working professionals, and the community when adopting LGBT inclusive policies.

Some of the topics discussed during the 2008 sessions could include:

  • The importance of inclusive employment protection
  • The impact of inclusive benefits programs on
    employers and employees
  • Coming out in the workplace
  • Workplace equality and the law
  • Dealing with harassment in the workplace
  • The business impact of marriage (in)equality
  • Establishing and supporting LGBT employee resource groups
